The GIGCC swimming pool is a magnet for summertime activities for children and adults alike including participation on the competitive swim team, swim instruction, poolside parties, or simply spending time with your friends in the sunshine.
The GIGCC swim team has competed for over 50 years. There have been hundreds of swimmers who have had the satisfaction of improving their swimming skills, the pride of representing their their club in the MICSA league meets, and the enjoyment of friendships with other youths from a variety of Clubs throughout Metro Detroit.
Children of all ages square off in the pool against teams from across Southeast Michigan learning great sportsmanship and having fun at dual and league swim meets.

Max Monas
Coach Monas is a retired teacher having taught in the Trenton Public School System from 1974-2010. During that time he taught grades 4-12. From 1978 to 1999 he coached the Trenton High School girls swimming and diving team and from 1986-2000 he also coached the Trenton High School boys swimming and diving team. During the summers between 1986-1995 he coached the Trenton Swim Club's summer program. Currently, he is the coach for Arthur Middle School's swim team. Coach Monas is a great asset to GIGCC and has helped many swimmers grow.
